Successful cooperation: novomind and hagebau sign long-term partnership agreement

10-year contract for operation and further development of digital omni-channel platform with novomind software / Shop and PIM system and central customer service software novomind iAGENT in use

Hamburg-based novomind AG and hagebau Handelsgesellschaft für Baustoffe mbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Soltau (Lower Saxony), will continue their successful collaboration and have signed a long-term partnership agreement. novomind’s software developers will take care of the operation and further development of and, the digital omni-channel platforms of the experts for the building materials, timber and tiles sectors as well as the DIY retail and online trade, for another ten years. Since 2015, novomind has completed several projects for hagebau.

“We very much appreciate our long-standing cooperation with novomind,” says Brigitta Quednau, Managing Director of hagebau IT GmbH. “We rely on a few selected software partners. novomind has shown that its integrated products and related services are an excellent fit for hagebau.” In addition to novomind iSHOP (shop system) and novomind iPIM (product information management), the digital commerce software package introduced in 2015, hagebau has been using the novomind iAGENT customer service (communication platform) software since 2019; all products are today operated on an SaaS (software as a service) basis in the novomind cloud. novomind has also developed hagebau’s cross-channel app, which builds an essential bridge between the retail stores and the online business.

In the context of the newly agreed 10-year partnership, novomind will help hagebau pursue several new milestones; so far, novomind iPIM has been used to process the article, master and content data for the online shop. Going forward, the range of services will be expanded to include the entire listing process of the hagebau Group in the specialist and retail sectors. All article and master data will be processed centrally in novomind iPIM across all distribution channels and be specifically prepared for all receiving systems. This is intended to make the business processes even more efficient and to set up a new, ultramodern product lifecycle.
In the future, hagebau will make even more extensive use of the full performance spectrum of novomind iShop. In addition to the websites and, which have been operated on the basis of the multi-client-capable novomind iSHOP to date, it is also planned to use novomind’s platform technology as the basis for a wide range of new, additional digital initiatives and activities within the hagebau Group over the next few years.

The novomind iAGENT communication platform will become even more important for efficient and competent customer service. It plays a key role in hagebau’s omni-channel concept and ensures high customer satisfaction, as all customer inquiries can be processed quickly, efficiently and on the right channel – B2B as well as B2C. The high degree of automation for answering recurring inquiries is a critical advantage of novomind iAGENT, which harmonizes perfectly with the digital commerce software package used.
