Swiss travel and outdoor retailer opts for novomind iSHOP with modern headless architecture / PIM and shop system from a single source
Hamburg, 03 July 2024. Transa Backpacking AG, the Swiss specialist retailer for high-quality travel and outdoor equipment, is now presenting itself on a headless commerce platform with a fresh look. The new platform was implemented by novomind AG. Transa’s long-standing software partner has also developed the powerful novomind iSHOP shop system, on which the new e-commerce platform is based. Decoupling the backend from the frontend has made it easier to design the latter. The new frontend was developed by the DEPT® agency.
“novomind’s competent, team and solution-oriented approach proved its worth in the technical implementation of our new e-commerce platform. The headless architecture gives us greater flexibility in linking content and commerce and the freedom to continually develop our online advice service,” says Simon Krummenacher, Product Owner at Transa. The technical changeover was accompanied by the introduction of a new Order Management System (OMS) from novomind, which makes it easier to process orders. It also enables customer service to deal with customer requests even more quickly and effectively. In addition, it can be used to store information for customers, which they can access in their account.
Clothing, shoes, equipment and gear – Transa Backpacking’s range comprises more than 42,000 products from around 550 brands. It includes everything from trekking backpacks, climbing boots and outdoor sleeping bags to multi-tools and pocket knives. novomind iPIM has been used as the central Product Information Management (PIM) system since 2019. The PIM system ensures the highest product data quality for all sales channels and interacts perfectly with novomind iSHOP. It also includes the innovative AI-based data onboarding module novomind iPIM Supply for efficient, time-saving process automation.
