From AI agents to Gen Z shopping behaviour, the range of topics covered by the novomind User Group on 15 May was broader than ever before. To mark the company’s 25th anniversary, novomind gathered customer service and digital commerce news into a one-day event.

A first for the novomind User Group: To mark the company’s 25th anniversary, the software professionals in customer service and digital commerce have, for the first time, combined their “product showcases” into an exclusive one-day event. On 15 May, over 250 customers, partners and friends gathered at Hamburg’s Grand Elysee Hotel to hear the latest updates, experience the newest additions to novomind’s product and service portfolio and engage in mutual exchange.

The ever-growing use of AI across all economic and social sectors – from AI agents in customer service and digital commerce to shopping assistants in B2C and B2B commerce and automation platforms – was a topic that spanned various industries and products. These days, there’s almost nothing happening without AI. As always, these and many more topics related to all novomind product lines were analysed and presented in detail through direct exchanges with the participants.

And as always, novomind also looked closely at the future. In “The Future of Digital Commerce”, CPO Markus Rohmeyer interpreted the latest report of the same name from market research institute Forrester. “An evolution is taking place right now,” Rohmeyer said. This evolution progresses through a distributed commerce strategy (AI-based marketplaces) to dynamic customer relationships (demand generation and shopping assistants) to autonomous commerce (profitability and automation) – all of which influence novomind’s roadmap. What this can mean in practical terms was also highlighted by the immense importance of avoiding returns, the potential of AI agents in the context of conversational commerce, and an initial glimpse into the emerging world of TikTok shopping via novomind iMARKET.

With over 250 participants, the User Group 2025 was a complete success.
The look into the customer service world of novomind iAGENT centred on the forthcoming new automation platform. With the new upgrade 13, novomind iAGENT establishes all the prerequisites for future features on the platform, as well as for the new version of novomind iAGENT Call and general performance optimisations. Under the motto “Future Customer Service”, the novomind experts also provided insights into the latest developments surrounding the novomind iAGENT automation platform and the capabilities of AI agents. The demand for omni-channel automation of emails, calls and chats is substantial and growing. An on-site Mentimeter survey revealed that the share of automated customer inquiry processes for most of the User Group participants is less than 20 percent.

Despite all the “hard” technical topics surrounding novomind iSHOP, novomind iPIM, novomind iMARKET and novomind iAGENT, there was still time for soft skills like “25 years”! The birthday cake served to celebrate novomind’s 25th anniversary provided all guests with the opportunity to socialise over coffee and cake.
