The Breaking Bottlenecks session held in January marked Part 2 of an ongoing workshop series, co-organised by novomind and the Singapore Logistics Association (SLA), focused on addressing real operational challenges faced by logistics and supply chain teams.
The first workshop in the series took place in October last year, where we shared the breadth of AI and automation capabilities available today. Rather than theoretical discussions, the session focused on concrete use cases that demonstrated measurable wins, including reduced manual effort, faster response times, and improved operational visibility.
Following strong engagement and discussions with key logistics leaders, one issue stood out clearly. Email remains one of the most persistent operational bottlenecks across organisations.
In response, the January session was shaped directly by this feedback and focused on how AI can be applied to email operations, including:
The discussion centred on how AI works best as a quiet operating layer, organising work behind the scenes so teams can focus on decisions and outcomes rather than inbox management.
The takeaway so far is clear. The most effective transformations start small. With the right operational insight, light-touch interventions can deliver the greatest efficiency gains without disrupting what already works.
As we prepare for the third workshop in the Breaking Bottlenecks series, we welcome input on the next area to explore. If there are operational challenges you would like addressed, drop a message to jhoong@novomind.com.
