Fine wines from all over the world on the platform of Tesdorpf parent company Hawesko / Short relaunch time of only two months during ongoing operation with novomind iSHOP and novomind iPIM software
Fine wines since 1678 – now also in the new online shop on the technology platform of the Hawesko parent company: Wine merchant Carl Tesdorpf GmbH has opened its new web shop at www.tesdorpf.de. The finest wines from all over the world are available 24/7, along with lots of background information on growing regions and grape varieties, as well as an alphabetical international directory of winemakers with indepth insider knowledge.
The relaunch was implemented using a software package from Hamburg-based novomind AG. novomind iSHOP and novomind iPIM form the basis of the new shop, as the integrated shop system and product information management ensure fast loading times and a centralized supply of the shop with up-to-date product information at all times. Storytelling is made possible by content objects in the novomind iPIM product information management system, which can be used to link product properties with texts and images at will and automatically group wines with the same properties into categories. As a result, the product page contains not only a portrait of the winemaker but automatically also shows all other wines from the same winery.
“Premium wines have a special story, which we would like to tell and bring closer to our customers also in the online shop. The novomind software architecture helps us do this,” says Pierre Enjalbert, Managing Director at Tesdorpf. “The relaunch was excellently accomplished in the short time of only two months; we are highly satisfied with our new web presence.”
After Vinos.de, a specialist merchant for Spanish wines, Tesdorpf.de is the second online shop for quality wines to be based on the technology platform of parent company Hawesko Holding AG (Hanseatisches Wein und Sekt Kontor). Hawesko pursues a strategy of establishing and expanding it into a central online platform for all brand stores. The platform thus plays a key role in the company’s successful e-commerce strategy:
The novomind shop platform is multi-brand-capable and harmonizes with the article data model of novomind iPIM, which centrally and uniformly maintains product data for all articles and can export them to different shops. This makes it easy to merge different product ranges.
“The relaunch of Tesdorpf.de shows that migration to the central Hawesko platform entails many advantages,” says Stan Carstensen, COO Customer Solutions at novomind. “Apart from a short project time, the stores benefit from the existing infrastructure of the shop and PIM system and can also quickly adopt new features, as these are already available in the active shops on the platform and can easily be implemented.”
