New feature for Müller online shop, as novomind implements home delivery service

Order online, have it delivered to your home – this is now possible throughout Germany in Müller’s web shop at The new home delivery service, which complements the already existing Click & Collect function in the drugstore retail giant’s online shop, has been implemented by Hamburg-based software developer novomind AG. Headquartered in Ulm, Germany, Müller Handels GmbH & Co KG has relied on novomind’s iSHOP software since 2018.

The new home delivery service expands the online shopping services available to Müller’s customers. With goods delivered to the customer’s doorstep, the retail company is providing a service that helps reduce contacts in times of the pandemic. 7,000 popular articles from the toy and perfumery sectors can now be ordered for home delivery in the Müller online shop. The technical implementation required a redesign of the checkout process, which now supports a shopping cart combining Click & Collect and the home delivery service. novomind completed the technical implementation together with its partner creativestyle within only four months, getting Müller’s new service ready just in time for the Christmas season. The success of the project is reflected in the fact that many orders were received on the very first day.

Besides the new door-to-door delivery service, Müller customers may also use the Click & Collect function to order products from the current range of 85,000 items for delivery to one of the approximately 650 stores, where they can be picked up.

Perfect teamwork enabled the very fast implementation of the new feature in the online shop.
