novomind AG is an owner-managed IT company run by founder Peter Samuelsen (CEO) and his board colleagues Stan Carstensen (COO - Professional Services), Sylvia Tantzen (CMO - Sales & Marketing), Stefan Grieben (CTO - Research & Development), Thomas Köhler (COO - Global Delivery), Mark Moeken (CFO - Finance & Legal) and Markus Rohmeyer (CPO - Product Management).
What drives us
What began in 1991 with the invention of the internet is now commonly called the “digitalisation of society” or “digital transformation”. What’s behind this is a change as rapid as it is radical – in habits, processes, business models and the manner in which people and companies deal with each other. We have been meeting this challenge since the company was founded in 2000.
What we believe
Digital interfaces to customers are an essential driver of modern companies’ value creation. We recognise this in the continuously increasing enquiries and orders from our customers via service centres and e-commerce systems. Lifestyle habits are being revolutionised. People’s changing communication behaviour is just one indicator of this. In order to keep close to their customers, companies and institutions also have to be flexible.

Peter Samuelsen co-founded novomind in 1999. As CEO he is responsible for the areas of finance and strategic company management. A graduate in computer science, he held posts in many different national and internationally active companies, for instance as a systems analyst, project manager and IT manager.
Stan Carstensen has been responsible for the large e-shops division since 2013. This division implements IBM WebSphere Commerce, novomind iSHOP and mobile APP projects. Previously, the graduate in agricultural engineering was employed for more than 10 years in senior positions in the e-commerce sector: initially in a digital agency, then on the commercial side, where he was responsible for content management and the further development of national online shops. Then he switched to the consulting side of the business, becoming a member of the Management Board of mindwyse (now known as dgroup), where he was responsible for the expansion and further development of e-commerce business, among other things. Since January 2019 he is the COO (Chief Operating Officer) of the Management Board Division Professional Services.
After completing his studies in business informatics, Stefan Grieben began his career at novomind AG in the year 2000 as a software developer. Just a short time after joining the company, he undertook additional tasks in sales as an e-commerce project manager. Stefan Grieben was appointed to the Management Board in January 2012 and has been a member of the novomind executive team since 2006. Since January 2019 he is the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of the Research & Development and Human Resources divisions.
Thomas Köhler has gained a lot of experience in the areas of B2C/B2B e-commerce and Product Information Management (PIM). The business information technology specialist started working for large e-commerce projects as early as 1998. He has been working in the area of e-commerce since novomind was founded. His responsibilities include the development of the multi-channel commerce platform novomind iSHOP. Thomas Köhler has been a member of the executive team since 2006 and was appointed to the Management Board in 2012. Since January 2019 he is the Head of COO (Chief Operating Officer) for the division Global Delivery at novomind.
Mark Moeken is the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) at novomind and is responsible for Finance, Controlling and Legal. Before that, the graduate in business informatics (FH) worked as a controller in the enterprise. His professional career began in 2005 in a Hamburg-based IT outsourcing company, in which he first completed a dual degree and then worked for several years as a controller.
Markus Rohmeyer has a wealth of experience spanning more than 12 years in B2C and B2B e-commerce as well as in Product Information Management (PIM). The graduate engineer has worked in many senior positions in software development for catalogue management and PIM systems. He has been responsible for the PIM business division at novomind AG since July 2010. His area of responsibility includes product development of the standard software novomind iPIM and novomind iMARKET. Since January 2019 he is the CPO (Chief Product Officer) of the division product management of novomind.
Sylvia Tantzen is responsible for the Division Sales & Marketing as CMO since January 2019. Before that she managed the business division novomind iAGENT. After studying business management with a focus on business information technology, she began working for T-Systems International as a sales manager for the mobile/voice solutions segments in 2005.
