Dubai, October 2025 — In partnership with Meta, novomind MEA successfully hosted its first in-person event dedicated to government communication and citizen engagement, entitled “Why WhatsApp is the Future of Government-to-Citizen Engagement.” Held at the Meta Office in Dubai, the half-day event brought together senior representatives from government, healthcare, and public sector organisations to explore how the WhatsApp Business Platform is transforming digital services, accessibility, and public trust across the region. The day began with an inspiring keynote from Ahmad Shehada, Head of Government MENA at Meta, who discussed how governments are using WhatsApp to connect more effectively with citizens, streamline communication, and foster trusted digital relationships. Shehada also outlined Meta’s roadmap for empowering public sector organisations through innovation and inclusivity. Hossam Amer, CEO of novomind MEA, followed with a compelling session on why WhatsApp is becoming the future of government-to-citizen engagement.
