Double award for creativestyle and novomind: Hallhuber and Mammut win Shop Usability Award 2020

The annual Shop Usability Award honors the best and most user-friendly online shops in the German-speaking area. Hallhuber and Mammut are among this year’s winners. Both shops were implemented by creativestyle and novomind on the basis of novomind iSHOP.

Shop Usability Award

Retail is detail. This was the motto under which one of Germany’s most coveted e-commerce prizes was awarded on 23 October. The expert community chose the winners from among more than 700 participating online shops. The question: Which shop offers its customers the best shopping experience by combining attractive design and intuitive user guidance in the best possible way?

Hallhuber and Mammut close to the maximum

The marketing, media and e-commerce experts had three months to vote for their favorites by awarding a maximum of 10 points each for design, usability, creativity and storytelling. Over 11,000 votes were cast by the community during the three-month period. The result: Hallhuber stood out from the competition in the “Fashion” category with an average score of 9.1. Mammut scored 9.3 points as the “Best Shop Switzerland”. A high-caliber jury then chose the winners from a shortlist of five candidates for each category.

“We are so proud that both shops won an award this year. Everyone in the team at novomind and creativestyle worked hard to transfer the values of both brands to the e-commerce world. The award and the consistently positive feedback from end customers show us that the effort was worth it,” says Jaromir Fojcik, Managing Director of creativestyle.

creativestyle attaches great importance to high usability in all of its projects. When relaunching the Mammut mountaineering shop, the team therefore followed the official guideline of the Baymard Institute’s “Checkout usability” study. The Hallhuber shop impresses users with features not normally offered by online shops such as the possibility to book “personal shopping” appointments with personal style coaches or a “shop the look” function within Hallhuber’s own brand universe.

The clear, striking design of the two shops, implemented by BUERO112, gives users optimum orientation on the respective page. In spite of the large-format, high-resolution images used, the powerful novomind iSHOP system and the connected novomind iPIM for product information management guarantee high performance in both shops. “The perfect interplay between novomind iSHOP and novomind iPIM ensures swift implementation and smooth operation of the online shops, which has a positive impact on the customer experience in terms of usability,” explains Stan Carstensen, COO Customer Solutions at novomind.

novomind and creativestyle jointly submitted a total of four of their online shops as entries to the Shop Usability Award 2020. The Müller drugstore chain also made it onto the shortlist. We are pleased that the joint projects are so well received by the community and will continue to focus on the usability of our online shops in the future.
