Digital shop window for nails, screws, staples, tools and much more: as a professional brand of high-quality fastening technology for craftsmen of Joh. Friedrich Behrens AG, KMR now also provides information on its products and solutions online. It launched a new B2B web shop at www.kmr-group.de as an online showroom based on a software package from novomind AG. The project was realized by the implementation partner OSP (Otto Group Solution Provider) completely remotely and in only three months during the coronavirus pandemic.
Joh. Friedrich Behrens AG, headquartered in Ahrensburg near Hamburg and owner of the BeA and KMR brands, is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of fastening technology for wood and wood-like materials. In order to increase the quality of the product information on the almost 1,000 specialist articles in the KMR range and to permit the optimum central provisioning of product information for all systems, the existing product data management system was replaced by novomind iPIM.
Together with the shop system novomind iSHOP, novomind iPIM now provides the software infrastructure for KMR’s new online showroom from a single source. At the heart of the digital shop window is a special wishlist function. Customers can add products to this list and send it to KMR to request a quote. They will then receive an offer from a KMR dealer in their vicinity. Additional shop functions such as a shopping cart and check-out can be flexibly integrated at any time during further expansion phases.

Friedrich Behrens AG. “With novomind and OSP, we have reliable partners at our side, on whose expertise we will continue to rely during the further expansion of our brands’ digitalization.” The Behrens Group plans to also create a web shop presence for its BeA industrial brand.
