In November 2014 the novomind PIM division began developing a new component for novomind iPIM. novomind iPORT represents a state-of-the-art web-based onboarding tool which imports quality assured product data from suppliers into novomind iPIM. In cooperation with the three novomind clients babywalz, Agravis and HolzLand, a new software product is being developed here with maximum practice orientation.
From the end of the fourth quarter in 2015 the new supplier portal novomind iPORT will be launched on the market as a standard product. Before this, the three development partners will be able to test and use the new tool. As these companies all operate in very different sectors and use different business models, their experiences, ideas and requirements will lead to a very practice orientated software with a high degree of market coverage and functionality.
Supplier data is currently imported directly into the PIM system and then validated by the specialist departments of the companies. novomind iPORT now reassigns this task as well as the responsibility for the quality of the data to the data suppliers. The product data is imported catalogue-based and then checked and revised rule-based. After the final approval iPORT then transfers the supplier data in an outstanding quality to novomind iPIM where the workflow based product data refinement for the various sales channels occurs.
In association with iPIM, novomind iPORT is suitable for all business models whose sales systems are also based on supplier data e.g. for wholesalers and retailers in multi-channel commerce, marketplaces and data aggregators.
