The annual novoinsight conference was held on 1. October in Hamburg’s CURIO House with more than 300 guests which was a record number for the event. Hamburg’s First Mayor Olaf Scholz also attended to offer his congratulations on the 15th anniversary. This year’s motto was: “How the digital self influences us.” In his keynote address, trend researcher Professor Peter Wippermann discussed consumer wishes in the networked society and provided a scientific basis for one of the most fundamental challenges in e-commerce – the question of how to deal with the customer journey.
In his opening speech, Peter Samuelsen emphasised the company’s continuous growth during the past 15 years. 2015 also saw increasing turnover and numerous new customers. At the beginning of the conference, the Hamburg software experts also presented the novomind APP Store, the latest in-house development.
In the programme tracks, numerous best case examples illustrated trends and solutions for modern e-commerce and effective customer service. Lectures included practice reports from Deutsche Post, Otto, baumarkt direkt and Ulla Popken, amongst others.
Guests then went to the FABRIK in Altona, Germany’s first cultural and communication centre, where they ended the day with good conversation and delicious food. Later on in the evening, the band Freestyle ensured the dancefloor was full.
Many thanks to all participants, speakers and organisers for a successful novoinsight 2015.
You can already note the date for the next conference in your diaries: 29. September 2016.
