Dehner, the leading cross-channel retailer of plants and related products, has used software from novomind for the past five years already. In 2013, the software experts from Hamburg realized Dehner’s entry into the e-commerce market and developed the first online shop of the family-run Bavarian company based on novomind iSHOP. A lot has happened since. Following its latest relaunch in spring of this year, the online shop does not only shine in a new design, but also offers numerous new services. For instance, Dehner customers in Germany and Austria can now order fresh indoor and outdoor plants from the online store. The new online range initially comprises 1,500 items from pot plants to nursery trees. More product groups will be added step by step.
After the relaunch, the site is completely responsive and clearly structured for simplified navigation. “We have relaunched our website to meet our customers’ expectations as regards easy handling and better use on mobile devices,” says Christoph Harlinghausen, Head of Dehner’s E-commerce and Cross-channel Department. What is more, additional cross-channel functions integrated into the new user interface seamlessly link the online shop to the physical stores.
novomind iPIM, the product information management system, ensures the perfect integration of the some 50,000 items in Dehner’s online shop. Thanks to the extremely robust PIM system, the data is quickly and reliably exported directly to the online shop. “An integrated PIM system minimizes the effort and risk of a web store, which makes novomind iSHOP and novomind iPIM the ideal combination,” explains Stefan Grieben, COO of novomind. “An optimum product data feed also improves the technical performance of the online shop.”
