Mail-order firm for ladieswear expands its e-commerce strategy and now uses not only novomind iSHOP but also novomind iPIM for product data management
Atelier Goldner Schnitt (AtelierGS), a ladieswear mail-order firm, continues to expand its e-commerce strategy. Headquartered in Münchberg, the textile supplier now uses novomind iPIM
for product data management. novomind iSHOP
has been used for the company’s online shop (www.ateliergs.de
) since 2013 and has proven its worth as a shop system meeting the full requirement profile. This is why Atelier GS opted for novomind iPIM when it came to replacing the existing PIM system.
To be optimally positioned to meet the e-commerce requirements of the future, the company wanted its new PIM system to be fast and flexible and to be able to satisfy the growing demands made on the online business. “Apart from the fact that we have been using novomind iSHOP so successfully, it was above all the flexibility and the ease of use of novomind iPIM which prompted us to choose novomind again,” says Marco Setale, Head of E-Commerce at AtelierGS.
novomind iPIM optimises the existing e-commerce processes thanks to the refined supply of the shop through precise management of the product data. The latter come from the ERP and are selectively fed into the shop and refined by the system. The online shop is available in nine countries and six different languages. The editorial updating of the product data is handled by each country itself according to a defined and consistent workflow. This increases the quality of the product data.
“We are happy that Atelier Goldner Schnitt has chosen novomind iPIM as their second software product from novomind,” says Markus Rohmeyer, Head of PIM at novomind. “Its great flexibility and the wide range of standard functions make novomind iPIM a perfect fit for the customer’s e-commerce strategy.”
Atelier Goldner Schnitt is among the oldest textile suppliers in Germany. Established in 1926, the company, which used to tailor its own products until recently, has subsidiaries in nine European countries and employs over 750 people. Since 2006, the Münchberg-based mail order firm has sold its products also through its own online shop.
