The software experts’ annual conference on 1 October therefore served to showcase the company’s achievements and celebrate its anniversary at the same time. Hamburg’s First Mayor Olaf Scholz congratulated on novomind’s 15th year in business. Over 300 guests attended the event at the CURIO House marking a new record for “novoinsight”. This year’s motto: “Wie das digitale Ich uns bestimmt” (“How we are influenced by the digital self”).
In his opening address, Peter Samuelsen, founder and CEO of novomind, highlighted the company’s steady growth over the past 15 years and expressed his satisfaction with growing sales revenues and numerous new customers also in 2015. “We make high demands on ourselves and our products,” Samuelsen said, adding that the company has always been driven by the will to develop the world’s most user-friendly software solutions. This includes developing new ideas, concepts and offerings all the time. “Our developments are designed to enable our customers to develop their own applications to complement our products,” Samuelsen explained. “We call this special offering ‘OPEN’. Opening our software is the precondition for growth and successful internationalisation.”
Future trends of the digital life
Thematically speaking, novoinsight 2015 was a journey into the world of the digital self. In his keynote address, trend researcher Professor Peter Wippermann described consumers’ wishes in the networked society, thus providing the academic basis for one of the key challenges of e-commerce, namely the question of how to deal with the customer journey. If you wish to optimally satisfy customer wishes, e-commerce and customer service must be combined effectively.
