The Hamburg-based software company has moved / Lotto King Karl put the 500 guests in a celebratory mood
“Hamburg meine Perle” – it was when Lotto King Karl sang this song that the summer party at the new headquarters of novomind AG reached its climax. Last Friday (3 July), the Hamburg-based software company and some 500 guests celebrated the move to the new building.
The success and the growth of the past years have forced novomind AG to relocate: for 15 years, the owner-managed company has developed innovative e-business solutions
for the modern Internet world and electronic customer communications
. Over the past years, the company has grown steadily and currently serves more than 180 renowned customers, from Otto, Deutsche Post and Sixt to frontlineshop and S.Oliver.
“Our workforce of over 200 people means that we have outgrown the place where it all began,” said Peter Samuelsen, co-founder and CEO of novomind AG. “We are now taking the next big step, as our customers have high demand and we therefore need more space for new developments,” he said in his address to the guests.
The company found a suitable building at Bramfelder Chaussee and purchased the 5,100 square property, which offers almost twice as much room as the old building. Three conference rooms, an in-house canteen as well as a roof terrace and campus offer sufficient space for the staff and much room for an ongoing exchange and creative ideas. “We thoroughly searched for modern office concepts and also sought inspiration from the many places we looked at. Finding this building was a real stroke of luck,” said a happy Peter Samuelsen.
The company’s staff and customers jointly celebrated with a hot BBQ and cool drinks. At 7.30 p.m., they were in for a real treat, as “Lotto King Karl und die 3 Richtigen” took to the stage to play a 1-hour acoustic set expressing their love for the city and the neighbourhood. With his funny performance and hits such as “Wieder im Ballbesitz” and “Fliegen”, the born-and-bred Hamburger got everyone in a great mood. He also sang the praises of the neighbourhood with his song “Mitten in Barmbek” and touched everybody with his performance of “Hamburg meine Perle“.
