novomind, the supplier of e-commerce software and automated customer service solutions, has scored a top ranking in the “Hamburg’s Best Employers” competition for the sixth consecutive time. The company achieved the best possible result, namely five stars, which is considered a high-profile accolade and a hallmark of excellence testifying to the quality of the Hamburg-based company’s human resources policies. With more than 160 people on its payroll, the growing software provider scored the excellent result primarily on account of its flat structures, short lines of decision-making, unbureaucratic management style and outstanding career development opportunities. More than 240 companies took part in this year’s competition which was once again organised under the patronage of Fritz Horst Melsheimer, President of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.
novomind develops innovative solutions for the modern Internet world, covering the entire digital value chains of retailing and electronic customer communication. Established in 1999, the company is resolved to outperform the industry also in the coming years. Its objective is to achieve organic growth at a sustained rate of 15 percent per year and to consolidate its market positions in the four segments of e-communication
, product information management
and marketplace integration
. In addition, the company plans to generate sound profits. “One of the reasons why we have been so successful is that our team has included some of the best software developers and IT consultants in the market for many years,” says co-founder and CEO Peter Samuelsen, who plans to further strengthen his team this year. To achieve this, novomind has a policy of cooperating with universities and universities of applied sciences. As a sponsor of the University of Applied Sciences of Wedel, novomind supports students writing their BA and MA theses. In addition, the company has teamed up with the Hamburg@work initiative to provide grants for e-commerce courses for talented and motivated students of computer sciences. As an employer, novomind offers specialists and graduates long-term career prospects in an exciting and steadily growing company. Moreover, the novomind management team attaches great importance to social responsibility. The company regularly supports child and youth projects in and around Hamburg jointly with the Preuschhof foundation, local initiatives and other charities. The company’s employees, too, benefit from this social commitment. Ever since its foundation back in 1999, novomind has supported employees’ sports activities by contributing towards the costs of gym memberships, swimming pool fees and tennis lessons. Another example is the company sports club, novomind sports e.V. (www.novomind-sports.de
), set up in March 2007 by novomind AG employees in conjunction with external friends and supporters.
“We are very happy to have once again achieved such an outstanding result,” says Peter Samuelsen. “We believe this demonstrates that we are on the right track and that our employees enjoy working with us. This is something that I take great pride in personally.”About novomind
