AIM 1 is a statistics-based text recognition system. The statistical engine is automatically trained using a relevant test corpus for all categories.

AIM 2 is the rule-based text recognition system. Business and communications rules are defined and incorporated in the rule engine. Incoming e-mail is assigned to the appropriate categories by means of semantic text analysis and the rules.

AIM 3 trains the statistical engine with general categories while the rule engine identifies finely granulated distinctions as a basis for allocation to the sub-categories.

In AIM 4 trains the statistical engine with all categories. The rule engine is used for categories achieving a poor recognition rate (Confidence < 70%).

AIM 5: The statistical engine is trained with all categories and rules are also generated for all categories. The statistical engine is only used for categories achieving a high precision rate (Precision > 70%) as a fallback.
