Hamburg, Germany, June 29th, 2006 –
The number of Internet users worldwide has now exceeded the 100,000,000,000. Electronic mail has been accepted by many people as a fast and global form of communication over the last couple of decades. In Germany alone, some 17 million people use the Internet every day for private e-mail communication. For those who would like to have an easy-to-use and time-saving system of dealing with their incoming e-mail, there’s a free support package from novomind iMailLight™. The e-mail management software for the private user sorts electronic post automatically and, if desired, also prepares replies. novomind iMailLight™ is an e-mail management system for the private user. Since its introduction at CeBIT 2005, not only countless German Internet users but also e-mail fans from Norway, Israel, Mexico, Brazil, Thailand and Australia have downloaded the software from the Net. Now the Hamburg software company has brought out a new version of novomind iMailLight™. The highlight of the new version is its ability to reply to incoming e-mails automatically. The new program works with all versions of the runtime environment Microsoft .NET. The function for saving system data has also been optimised.

The principle of novomind iMailLight™ 1.5: the software integrates into Microsoft Outlook® and features an independent, self-teaching function for the sorting of incoming e-mail. Thanks to its artificial intelligence, the electronic post is sorted into up to 20 different sub-directories, such as "Newsletters", "Ebay", "Applications" or "Private". This automatically gives the user a general idea of how much important or less important e-mail has come in. The system conscientiously and reliably sorts out spam. Complex manual configurations like filters in Microsoft Outlook® are rendered superfluous. The software also helps in the replying of e-mail. Users can define text modules for e-mail categories. For example, if a persistent admirer regularly sends electronic messages and the answer is always the same, novomind iMailLight™ keeps the answer ready in a draft file. The user can naturally also edit the suggested reply before sending the e-mail. With novomind iMailLight™ 1.5, users have a highly intelligent, personal e-mail management assistant at their fingertips.

The software works with Microsoft Outlook® Version 2000 or higher and Microsoft Windows® 2000 or higher and requires the runtime environment Microsoft .NET. novomind iMailLight™ 1.5 is at present also available on the new Office CD of the computer magazine ct` special MS Office.
