Whereas just over half (54 percent) of the population in Germany uses the internet, our Swedish counterparts lead the field in Europe, with 77 percent of 16 to 74 year-olds online. And they are a step ahead in the e-commerce sector too: a study carried out by Eurostat shows that 30 percent of Swedish companies sell their products online, compared to just 19 percent in Germany.
